More about Corinne

Corinne maakt (Corinne makes)is my blog about my art work. On the static pages I show drawings, paintings, monoprints and mixed media work.

In June 2014 I joined the 101 Art Challenge: in May 2014 a group of budding artists challenged each other to make 101 pieces in 101 days. Not everyone needs to do 101. It’s just the idea of setting a target and making things on a regular basis. I joined a little later and set my target at 50 pieces. Size doesn’t matter: they go from large paintings to postcard sized art.

Me: I am Corinne Bekker, I live in the Netherlands in a household with hubbie and son. I L O V E drawing and painting. I have come to love it more and more ever since I did my first painting workshop in the summer of 2011. Apart from that I love: making asian food when friends come over; my favorites are Indian and Indonesian food.

In my daily life I also work as a freelance fundraiser and projectmanager from my own company. I studied ethics and social philosophy; wrote a phD on women’s studies in philosophy, then I left the uni to go on to organizing events and making publicity for non profit organisations in the Netherlands.

Corinne Bekker zelfstandig ondernemer. Werkzaam als fondsenwerver en tekstschrijver. Woont in Utrecht met partner en kind. Houdt van schilderen en tekenen, pubers (vooral die ene), Indonesisch en Indiaas eten. Voorheen docent en onderzoeker aan de Universiteit Utrecht op het gebied van ethiek en politieke filosofie / gender- en diversiteitstudies.
