My drawing and painting life

October drawings

October faces Collage 1

It’s been way too long between posts! Some things kept me busy – work and life, no dramas – so that’s why I didn’t get to share anything for weeks.

Here’s a quick share of drawings from October. There’s both imaginary faces and faces drawn from references and some of them are part real, part imaginary.

As I was teaching a class on drawing faces for the past 8 weeks (Playing with faces) I drew a lot of them. A whole LOT! In fact, I started making demos in August and went on well into the class, sometimes drawing in front of the class, but also often showing some of my results for inspiration of participants.

I / we used different kind of materials, and I tried out more options than I could share in class. You probably get what I mean… There are so many drawings, they are stacking up in folders and on my art desk.

So today I figured I’d better start looking up the scans I made of some of the drawings and make a little collage to share here.

I may share some more in the weeks to come. Because there’s quite a bit more where these came from.
