Working in my small sketchbook, trying out things. After three not so good warm ups I was getting into a kind of flow, slowing down enough, and yes! loved this one.
Let me show you some of the warm up sketches. Just for a laugh.
One was done holding the pencil at a weird angle (always fun) and one with my non dominant hand. Haha, These two make me laugh, The second one, she got quite old… whereas the girl in the reference photo (a vintage photo) is a young girl. With a lovely big hat. 🙂
June = Faces Month for me. I’m practicing drawing or painting the face, every day if I can make it. I share as often as I can, at least two or three times a week.
Have a nice day!

Interesting how a few extra lines can age someone.
Yes, that and adding length to the face. Small changes add years sometimes. Fun.
Unless you want the likeness. I will have to start measuring more if I want that. 🙂
I like them all. The first is very sweet, the second you can tell she is upset, and the third she is questioning, and a little sad. Wonderful expressions 🙂
Thank you Sheila for your observations. It’s so fun to find every face has an expression. ❤
Faces are fun! I like your sweet little girl, Corinne! ❤❤❤
Thanks so much my friend. ❤
