My drawing and painting life

Playing with natural elements

I’ve been teaching a drawing class for weeks. We use the space on a local playground. I love this place, because it has lots of trees, water and sand, opportunities to play with water and sand, and it’s so green all around the building. It’s a beautiful place for the kids to play; very nice to be for parents when you’re kids are playing. Occasionally I help out during activities for the kids.

On Sunday May 7th there will be a day of playing with natural elements. There will be activities like this on several places throughout my neighborhood, in playgrounds and parks, neighborhood gardens and a farm.

Yesterday we tried out printing from leaves and flowers that we picked in the playground and in the park. It was a nice experimental activity. We hope kids and parents will love it too.

Oh, how fun! I noticed the little dandy lion in the bottom right of the last pic. Too cute!

You’re a great observer. That cute dandy lion face is by my friend Marjolijn. She’ll be stoked too that you noticed.
