My drawing and painting life

RIP Dick Bruna, creator of Miffy / Nijntje

On February 17th word came out that Dick Bruna, the creator of Miffy (Nijntje in Dutch) had died. I drew two Nijntjes the next day, to remember the man, the illustrator, who created this timeless little creature that is known all over the world. Just a page in my sketchbook, nothing fancy. Rest in peace Dick Bruna!

I draw, I paint, almost every day. I just don’t post as often anymore. I may post a few drawings from the past few weeks and publish a few posts to make up for the lost momentum in a few days. But first I’m making new plans for the blog, hoping that that will allow me to get into a new rhythm.

See you soon.
