My drawing and painting life
I’m currently enjoying the online class by Fred Lisaius called ‘Big Juicy Watercolor’. I felt I could do with some juicy watercolor work. I already know I can do it, but having the extra fun seeing Fred doing watercolor is so fun. I love how he clearly enjoys color and how he talks about painting and art (see this video if you want to get to know him a little). I also love seeing the work of other participants, as we can share what we do in the facebook group.
The class started with doing some experimenting with wet into wet work. Here’s my first three sheets of experiments. They are all the size of ‘half sheets’. A whole sheet is approximately 55 x 70 cm, half is approximately 35 x 55 cm.
It was fun to get lost in the doing and making splashes (first) and then making patterns on the third page.
More to come!

You may have noticed that I’m posting daily again. I will do so at least until the end of this month. I am working with a slight delay – so I can pre-schedule several posts at a time. I am sometimes mixing up the order of days a bit, for all kinds of reasons. For instance if I don’t have a scan, because I left the piece in the studio, or have misplaced it…. Or just because… Hope you don’t mind.
