Daily practice continued
For my daily practice, I keep it simple and I work on small size substrates (a lot smaller than the canvas paintings I showed you earlier). I’ve cut square pieces of watercolor paper (approximately 25 x 25 cm). I decided to move to acrylic paint for my abstracts. Here’s some pieces from May 15 and May 16.
May 15 (#258/365), if you look at these colors it may seem like it was a dark day. Maybe it was just that it was late and already dark.
A day later I suddenly saw an ice cream cone in the lower part of it. 🙂
May 16 (#259/365) “Summer circles”. I took my revenge for the darkness and looked for a lighter kind of painting, or in ‘high key’ as some call that.

a blog of two friends
Love the depth in the first. It almost looks like a city view from above. The second is just dreamy 🙂
The first looks like a bright patchwork quilt. I really love the deep, dark colors.
Thanks! Nice to hear from you, what you like. I just visited your blog; will be back for more. Loved the post about drawing ears …. 🙂
Thank you for visiting! Glad you liked the post. I did another post about feet, and I have one about hands coming up. I’m really enjoying my studies in anatomy and figure drawing. I just hope it doesn’t bore everyone else!
Good morning dear Corinne .. I see. An ice cream in the first .. Love
It .. It’s a summer drawing.
Hi! Thanks for dropping by, Andrea. It’s probably what we’re hoping for – good weather and ice creams. 🙂
