My drawing and painting life

Tumbling Alice

Still having fun with the first lessons by Jane in the Wonderland workshop. The first lessons seem to be geared to freeing us up to play with the paint. The paintings don’t have to be masterpieces with lots of detail – so I am happy to stay loose too. I will try this more often.

I decided to add the rabbit to this first painting of the tumbling Alice. The rabbit ran past muttering “It’s late”, remember? And it was checking its watch.

It feels to me like it’s almost comfortable falling down the rabbit hole. If it wasn’t so weird falling and falling for so long down a rabbit hole, it could have been a pleasant experience.

Some people do make beautiful drawings and paintings – it so inspiring seeing all the wonderful class work. And we’re only on week 2…. of eight.
