My drawing and painting life
The other day I did some quick paintings inspired by a lesson by Alena Hennessy. I wasn’t feeling well, but figured just some experimental marks couldn’t hurt. The assignment was to give yourself a maximum time for three quick paintings: 5, 10 and 15 minutes. It’s a great way to experiment with quick marks and how to use new materials from time to time. Not to be result oriented all the time. This one is a 15 minutes painting.
Using acrylic ink is fun, it’s so vibrant. I started out with just color on a wet page. I couldn’t help but bring out flowers and the bunnies.
15 minutes isn’t very long, so no time to be precise. I figured I’d better let them be what they are and not spoil the spontaneous marks. I rather like the funny expressions on their little faces.
