My drawing and painting life
This one was done only after I had warmed up my hands and had worked on the same face at least one time, doing colored pencil drawings. Like the ones below:
PS I shared the pieces of day 75 in the blogpost “Abstracts and violence”.
PPS I feel a lot more confident in my drawing lately. I owe a great deal to two courses I’ve taken recently. One being the “Scribble art” class taught by Julie Johnson (find her courses on the ning community hosted by artist Jeanne Oliver). Both Julie’s instruction and detailed comments on the one hand and the community spirit and constructive comments among participants, has been a great help. As you can see, I like to repeat one of the techniques from the Sketchbook class by Cat Bennett, the drawing with colored pencils. In the black and white drawing I feel I am incorporating more influences at the same time.
