My drawing and painting life

Day 56 Angel Face and hands

After my break I felt like doing some more in depth work.

  1. I went back to the Scribble Art class by Julie Johnson and practiced scribbly drawing of a statue of an angel. I love this technique. It’s scary at first to try and make details like eyes and lips using scribbling. But it turned out to be great fun. On the detail of the face you can see better how the white paint pen is added on top of the black for highlights.

2. Also I did some homework for my live oil paint class:  I drew hands, using ballpoint pen, watercolor pencil and artist pen.

Thanks so much for your kind comment, Charlie. And thanks for stopping by at my blog. I just visited yours. Love the idea of doodlewash/doodlewashing and your mission to make a lot of art – and inspire others to do so too. I feel much the same!

      • That’s so great to here, Corinne! You should be a Guest Doodlewash artist! Would love to feature you! 😃

Thanks Charlie! I would love that! What does that entail? Is there something in particular you’d like to showcase?

      • Yay!! Anything you love that uses watercolor! Just send me a note via my Let’s Connect link on doodlewash.com and I can email you what I need to make a post! 😃👍🏻
