My drawing and painting life
Just a brief moment for sketching on day 45.
The assignment in Cat Bennetts Sketchbook class is to make a contour drawing of a plant or other object from nature. Also we had to make three blind contours of the same object – all on top of one another on the same page. As you don’t look at the drawing, only at the object, it’s a good way to reaaaaalllly look at it. And afterwards you can see how it’s turned out. I love the effect of the three layers of different color on that page. And then another contour drawing.
I will come back to look at it on an other day, to see what I think about it. As often is the case, I can’t really see it for what it is worth just after finishing. That’s been such an important thing to learn, to reserve judgment. If a judgment comes up, to let it go.
I am enjoying this class. *big grin*
And this year, it’s a big adventure. *bigger grin*
PS You can still join this class. It’s a six week class, with a video a week and daily inspirational posts from Cat Bennett in the (closed) Facebook group of this class.
