My drawing and painting life
It was also an exercise in the first lesson by Carla Sonheim in the new year long class (The Year of the Spark) hosted by Carla and Lynn Whipple.
It’s a happy coincidence that my wish for January fits in so nicely with the lesson.
Apart from the lesson, I’ve set myself the task of doing daily pieces. This may turn into a challenge again, like like the 101 bird challenge, but for now I am just trying things out, to see where it will take me. For the time being I will be doing monochromatic drawings and paintings. I started this when I was painting in one of my journals, using mostly blue paints. I decided, while the paints were out, to make good use of them. I added random blue paint blobs on (post)cards. I will be looking for images in those.
I wasn’t surprised of finding more birds. Here’s one where I copied the image suggested by a blob using watersoluable crayons (Neocolor II) only.
You see. I still have birds on the brain. 🙂
