Imaginary creatures

imaginary animals Aug 3rd #2During my holidays I managed to get some art done. I had an assignment from Year of the Fairy tale, made a lot of sketches to go with the fifth fairy tale (more about it later). I brought only a few supplies: cards, washi tape, watercolor , paper and a sketchbook.

This piece I did using a method of making imaginary creatures from random marks – I learned that from Carla Sonheim. I added blown blots from the watercolor marks. Then looked for creatures in the marks. And this is what I got out of it.
